Unfriended Movie Review (No Spoilers)| Firestar & Co.

Hey guys! Firestar here! Today I will be doing a review on the very recent movie release Unfriended. This is my first movie review, so if I get stuff wrong, cut me some slack.

So, I heard about the movie while watching a video on YouTube. The trailer was the ad, and it interested me, so I looked it up, and I went to watch it with my mom this past evening.

Here is the teaser poster.
Rating: PG-13

So, the movie follows 5 teens who were just expecting to have a normal conversation with each other over Skype video chat. While they are chatting, they notice an anonymous account listening in on their conversation. They try to get rid of it, but they can't. So they all think it is a glitch and they ignore it. A little bit later, weird things start happening and they get threatening anonymous messages from the unknown account and a Facebook account that was hacked.

I would go more into detail, but I don't want to spoil it. Here is the Wikipedia link to the movie and a more in-depth plot description *spoiler alert* (this is also where I got the teaser poster picture): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfriended

Anyways, I have mixed feelings about the movie. I mean, it is classified as a horror movie, but it was more like a thriller in my opinion. I felt like at some points it was just a "food fight" (not literally). What I mean is that a lot of it was just the characters going back and forth arguing with each other. Also, I felt like they just threw blood and gore into it and called it a horror movie. Some of it was also really predictable. On the contrary, I like the moral of the story, and I like how it covers cyberbullying and the negative effects of it. Overall, I give the movie a 4/5 stars. The fact that it was pretty predictable brought the score down. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. If you can't stomach blood and gore, you can still watch it, as there is not that much of it. Just close your eyes at those parts.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed! I'm sorry if this review isn't too good as this is my first movie review. Any suggestions/feedback would be welcome.

Cosplay Station Review I| Firestar & Co.

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Today, I will be reviewing the Nintendo Princess Rosalina Cosplay Costume & Wig from Cosplay Station. First, the website is located in Canada. Their domain is .ca, which is Canada.

Second, a bit of backstory. This was my first ever cosplay costume and when I was just getting in to cosplay. I played Super Mario Galaxy, and it was my favorite game at the time (and still is), and I wanted to be Rosalina. Picture:

I looked all over the internet for the outfit, and came across Cosplay Station. The outfit was a bit pricey, which we will cover in a bit, so my mom refused. I really wanted to be her, so we compromised on my mom getting me the outfit for my birthday.

This is their stock photo. The outfit costs $169.99 normally, but we got it on sale for $149.99. (Link below)

I'm sorry that this is the only pic I have of me in the outfit. This is really bad quality and my fails at putting on the wig. Cut me some slack. This was my first time cosplaying, ever. I wore this to my first year going to Comic Con, but we didn't take pictures.

In conclusion:

Quality: 4/5
The dress was good quality, didn't fall apart on me. The accessories though, they were horrible quality. The crown didn't even tie, so I couldn't wear it. The earrings were clip ons, so I had to attach some string to them and lay them around my ears. The wand was OK, but the star part was made of really cheap foam, and to this day the accessories are either broken or almost broken. Also, they didn't sell the shoes, so that annoyed me a bit. I spent forever looking everywhere for her shoes, to no avail. We did come close though. But anyways, the dress is too small for me now, and the accessories aren't in good shape. The wig was also good, but the bang in the front fell apart on me, and gel wouldn't fix it. It is still wearable, but it needs some professional fixing.

Shipping: 5/5
Came fast. I don't remember exactly how long, but it didn't take two months. The outfit comes straight from their warehouse in China, the wig came from Canada.

Communication: N/A
I didn't have to communicate them this time, so I can't say anything about it.

Overall: 4/5
The shipping was fine, the costume was fine, but the accessories were cheaply made, so that's what brings the score down. Same with the wig, it fell apart after a while. Also, their stuff is a bit overpriced for the quality of the actual item(s).

I would recommend them to you, but be careful about quality and stuff. If you don't have much money, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. Hope you enjoyed the review, and don't forget to give Cosplay Station a visit at their website: http://cosplaystation.ca. See you in the next review!
